I use the crappy powdered stuff normally, because I just can’t be bothered to heat up milk, melt down chocolate, add sugar, etc etc when I want a cuppa.
But if you use about twice as much mix as they suggest in a mug of hot water, and add a candy cane garnish… you end up with a minty chocolatey concoction worthy of any pretentious coffee shop.
Seriously. Try it. =)
PS hot choc is great paired with freshly baked peanut butter cookies. Also, expect posting to become more prolific in the next month; I’ve signed myself up for food network’s 12 days of cookies mailing list!
